Born on March 6, 1920, in Abetone, Italy, Celina Seghi is celebrated as a trailblazer in alpine skiing.
With 25 national titles and a bronze medal in slalom at the 1950 World Championships, she became a legend in the sport. Competing in the 1948 and 1952 Winter Olympics, Seghi narrowly missed the podium, earning several fourth-place finishes. Her impeccable technique and ability to excel in multiple disciplines set her apart as one of the most versatile athletes of her era.
Beyond her athletic achievements, Celina Seghi became a symbol of resilience and elegance. Her story inspired us the creation of the "Celina" eyewear frame, a sunglass that reflect her timeless style and pioneering spirit.
Even after retiring in 1956, Celina continued to contribute to the world of skiing by participating in events and promoting the sport among younger generations. Her passion, dedication, and ability to overcome challenges made her a role model for athletes and a muse for creatives across various fields. Her legacy remains an enduring source of inspiration, blending the worlds of sports, fashion, and innovation.
