La Fabbrica Eyewear: where old meets new

Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, La Fabbrica Eyewear combines the artisanal expertise of its founders with the creativity and vision of Corinna and Alejandro, the young creators of the brand. Rooted in a longstanding legacy in the eyewear industry, the company bridges tradition and innovation to craft pieces that reflect both heritage and contemporary design.
La Fabbrica Eyewear originates from a well-established reality in the eyewear industry: Aster, a handcrafted workshop located in the heart of the Cadore eyewear district, specialized in the production of acetate components (temples and temple tips).
Aster's story has its roots in the 1970s, when Mario, one of the founders, began working on welding small metal parts for glasses, such as nose pads. At the same time, his brother Mauro was focused on producing acetate temples. Over the years, the two brothers decided to take a step forward, combining their expertise and officially founding the company Aster in 2001.
Like many family-run businesses in the region, the workshop was located on the ground floor of their home, becoming the heart of family life. The sound of buratti machines humming below was a reassuring reminder of work and stability. Friends and relatives often gathered there for coffee and conversation, making the workshop both a productive and welcoming space.
Amid challenges such as the rise of Asian production and the pressure of industrial consolidation, the company remained resilient, preserving its artisanal roots. Today, with a team of 10 dedicated individuals, La Fabbrica continues to uphold the values of "Made in Italy," investing in quality, sustainability, and innovation.
The brand name reflects the central role the workshop has played in their lives and the local community. Their shared vision merges decades of tradition with bold creativity, shaping La Fabbrica into a modern, independent brand with deep roots in the Dolomite region.
Inspired by the beauty of its birthplace and the authenticity of the people who inhabit it, La Fabbrica tells a story of resilience, craftsmanship, and genuine connection.
Every frame embodies this spirit, honoring the past while embracing the future.
La Fabbrica seeks to tell a story of authenticity, genuineness, and craftsmanship. It draws inspiration both from the beauty of its birthplace, nestled in the Dolomite mountains, and from the honest, authentic people who call this place home.
