"Alta Quota"

Alta Quota is born where the mountain shifts from one state to another.

At high altitude, matter reveals itself differently. The snow slowly retreats, exposing the rock beneath. Light falls more clearly across the Dolomite walls. Far from the noise, the sky becomes deeper. Everything seems reduced to its essential elements: stone, air, ice, shadow and silence.

This capsule takes shape from that suspended landscape. Not from a sporting vision of the mountains, but from a more intimate and material perspective: the mountain observed as a living surface, as texture, as an archive of time. The Nuvolau and Averau models are named after two peaks in the Dolomites. Each interprets a different way of inhabiting altitude. Nuvolau looks towards air, openness and the horizon. Averau belongs more closely to rock, mineral cuts and the quiet presence of stone.

The colours of the capsule emerge from three moments in the high mountains. Black marble with light blue lenses recalls a clear night at altitude, when the sky opens clean and deep above the ridgelines. Grey havana with dark grey lenses evokes the beginning of the thaw: the irregular pattern of snow, rock and shadow that appears as spring begins to uncover the mountain. Brown and yellow havana with gradient lenses recalls stratified rock touched by the final light of day.

Inside each frame, the Alta Quota engraving and the altitude of each peak form a discreet inscription. An intimate coordinate. A small mark of origin.
